On 27–28 May FCS Russia deputy head Alexey Timofeev and Siberian customs chief Alexander Yastrebov visited vehicle checkpoints in Novosibirsk Region (Pavlovka) and Altai Territory.

Customs will apply a new control regime under Federal Law No. 101-FZ of 15 April 2026; priority SPOT preparations are complete and officers have QR verification tools.

Timofeev discussed issues raised by international carriers with management and staff and met border service representatives.

He said trials showed readiness to avoid delays and queues; mandatory operation starts 1 June after testing from 6 April.
