Astrakhan mobile teams find 80+ tonnes of undeclared electronics from Kyrgyzstan

The FCS Russia press office reports in an official release. The headline reads: “Astrakhan mobile teams found over 80 tonnes of undeclared electronics from Kyrgyzstan in four trucks”.

An Astrakhan customs mobile team inspecting four heavy trucks on the highway found a large batch of undeclared electronics: about 40,000 foreign-made units weighing more than 80 tonnes, valued at RUB 245 million.

Drivers said they were travelling from Kyrgyzstan to Bulgaria on the same route from one shipper to one consignee.

Document checks did not confirm placement under customs transit; waybills listed clothing while the cargo actually included more than 4,600 televisions and about 35,000 other devices such as cameras, car players, VR headsets and game consoles.

The goods were seized; transfer to federal ownership is under consideration.
