The delegation reviewed completed construction, discussed rollout of the integrated checkpoint system and its timeline, and considered an alternative arrival area within the existing facility to shorten control times, add parking capacity and improve conditions for drivers awaiting clearance.

Within the Ussuri Customs jurisdiction, most international road traffic uses Pogranichny. In Q1 2026, 28,964 international transport vehicles passed through the checkpoint — 10% more than in the same period last year. Of these, 2,144 were car carriers transporting 9,918 personal-use vehicles, twice the Q1 2025 figure.
