Mr Zhukov has served in the customs authorities since March 1994, starting at Kaluga Customs. He later held senior posts at Bryansk and Moscow Region customs offices and from 2013 to 2024 headed the FCS Main Directorate for Customs Clearance and Control Organisation.
Since November 2024 he has been head of the Far Eastern Customs Office.
