The 32-year-old passenger was checked in the green channel. Inspectors found an unprocessed 250 g piece and a piece polished on three sides weighing 2.75 kg. He said a friend had given him the metal fragments and that he was unaware of declaration rules.
Experts confirmed the unprocessed fragment is part of the culturally significant iron Dronino meteorite; the second piece has no such value.
Two administrative cases were opened under Articles 16.2(1) and 16.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences, with fines and possible confiscation.
