Pikalyov, deputy heads Vladimir Ivin and Alexey Timofeev inspected customs posts on the border with China and sites where new multimodal road checkpoints are being built.
Together with Deputy Transport Minister Valentin Ivanov and Rosgranstroy deputy head Georgy Budaev, he reviewed completion timelines for the Kraskino and Pogranichny checkpoints, including portal inspection complexes under the prospective checkpoint model.
After upgrade, Pogranichny capacity will reach 1,300 vehicles per day and Kraskino 750. In the first 11 months of 2025, Kraskino handled more than 47,800 trucks and buses and about 664,000 passengers; Pogranichny — 115,500 freight vehicles and 432,700 tourists.
The delegation also checked progress on the Khasan road checkpoint on the border with North Korea, due for completion in 2026.
In Vladivostok, Pikalyov visited the Airport Vladivostok post and discussed staffing and social support with officers. Over 11 months they cleared 5,214 aircraft and baggage for 959,400 passengers.
