According to an FCS Russia press release, Domodedovo customs officers detained a foreign national attempting to take nearly 7,000 marten tails to Israel.
He was stopped in the green channel; baggage inspection found vacuum-packed fur goods. The traveller said he was carrying the material for crafts at a children’s camp.
Examination confirmed marten tails worth RUB 183,000. An administrative case was opened under Article 16.2(1) of the Administrative Code (failure to declare goods), with a fine from half to double the value and possible confiscation.
