According to an FCS Russia press release, on the eve of Customs Officer Day Vladimir Putin received FCS head Valery Pikalev at the Kremlin.
The service head reported on current operations and implementation of the Russian customs development strategy to 2030, including workforce training and social support for staff.
The meeting also covered steps to shorten customs control times at border crossings and combat grey imports, including work to establish a national goods expectation confirmation system (SPOT).
