An FCS Russia release cites “failure to pay almost RUB 90 million in anti-dumping duties” by a Moscow-based metals trading company.
Central Operational Customs found that for two years the firm declared false product data in customs declarations to cut anti-dumping duty costs.
Criminal cases were opened against the CEO and deputy commercial director under Article 194(2)(a) and (g) (evasion of customs payments by an organised group on a large scale). Penalties include up to five years’ imprisonment and a fine of up to RUB 500,000.
State losses plus penalties were repaid in full — RUB 105 million.
